An Introduction

The Interior Drawings create the sensation of a closed in arena, where the noise echoes and reverberates inside, an entrapment for not only the public but for me as the artist. It is a feeling that is very compelling yet at the same time unsettling. The architecture confines the human presence, prompting the movement from the form to pulsate around the floor, as a search begins to explore the environment that they are in. Motion begins to build as time continues through the retracing of steps, whilst the new filter in, providing a battle that is past, present and future. Figure and structure become harmonious, hidden areas are revealed that are undetectable without the apparatus of the drawing medium. These allow surprises to occur in the final drawing, but also show the characteristics of the buildings design.
